Ministry Partners

Help others encounter Christ through pilgrimage.

Beyond The Destination partners with Catholic parishes, ministries, schools, councils, apostolates, and organizations to help invite pilgrims into a prayerful journey of faith while providing complimentary outreach resources and optional Ministry Partnership support.

Why Ministry Partners Matter

Pilgrimage is a ministry of invitation.

The Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage was created to help pilgrims leave the noise behind, encounter Christ through sacred places, and return home renewed in faith, prayer, and mission.

Not a Commission Program

This is not a sales commission or a quota-based referral program. It is a ministry partnership rooted in gratitude for Catholic organizations that help others discover the pilgrimage.

Local Church First

Parishes and Catholic ministries are often the places where trust, invitation, and spiritual encouragement begin. BTDT wants to honor that local witness.

Mission Shared

When a pilgrim is invited by a parish or Catholic ministry, the journey becomes part of a larger work of evangelization, formation, fellowship, and renewal.

How It Works

Simple, transparent, and ministry-focused.

The Ministry Partnership Donation is earned only when a referred pilgrim completes the pilgrimage.

$100

Ministry Partnership Donation

For every pilgrim referred by a participating Catholic parish or ministry who completes the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage, Beyond The Destination will make a $100 Ministry Partnership Donation to that parish or ministry in gratitude for helping others encounter Christ through pilgrimage.

Invite

A participating parish, ministry, school, council, or Catholic organization invites someone to consider the pilgrimage.

Refer

The pilgrim identifies the participating Ministry Partner when requesting information or submitting a reservation review.

Travel

The pilgrim completes the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage with the group.

Receive

After the pilgrimage, BTDT provides a Ministry Partnership Report and issues the earned donation.

The $100 Ministry Partnership Donation is earned when the referred pilgrim completes the pilgrimage.

What BTDT Provides

BTDT can provide clear pilgrimage information, shareable links, flyer language, bulletin text, QR-code-ready links, and simple tracking so participating ministries do not have to create the process from scratch.

What Partners Do

Ministry Partners simply help invite people who may benefit from the pilgrimage. They may share the pilgrimage in bulletins, newsletters, emails, ministry meetings, personal invitations, or approved parish communication channels.

Pilgrimage Outreach Partners

Help bring the pilgrimage to your Catholic community.

Beyond The Destination welcomes Catholic organizations that wish to help share the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage with those they serve.

A Wider Invitation

Pilgrimage Outreach Partners may include parishes, Knights of Columbus councils, Catholic women’s and men’s groups, Respect Life ministries, Serra Clubs, Legion of Mary groups, young adult ministries, adult faith formation teams, OCIA / RCIA teams, Catholic schools, Newman Centers, religious communities, retreat centers, diocesan offices, and other Catholic apostolates.

How Partners Can Help

Outreach Partners may share the pilgrimage through parish bulletins, Flocknote, newsletters, websites, social media, parish announcements, ministry meetings, council meetings, flyers, QR codes, and personal invitation.

Not every Outreach Partner participates in the Ministry Partnership Donation Program. Some simply wish to help make Catholics aware of this pilgrimage and encourage participation.
Ministry Partner Information Packet

Everything needed to share the pilgrimage clearly.

BTDT can provide complimentary outreach materials to help Catholic organizations introduce the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage with minimal effort.

Ready-to-Share Text

The packet may include bulletin announcements, newsletter copy, Flocknote text, email announcements, website copy, and short parish communication language.

Promotional Materials

Available materials may include flyers, posters, QR-code graphics, social media graphics, pilgrimage highlights, and referral guidance.

Clear Contact Path

Organizations may request the latest Ministry Partner Information Packet directly from BTDT and receive current pilgrimage details, links, and sharing instructions.

Stewarding the Mission Together

Referral recognition and financial sponsorship are separate.

A Ministry Partner may refer pilgrims without paying any part of the pilgrim’s cost. If a sponsor also wishes to help financially, that support is handled separately and transparently.

Referral Recognition

If a participating Ministry Partner refers a pilgrim who completes the pilgrimage, BTDT makes the $100 Ministry Partnership Donation after completion.

The pilgrim pays the normal approved pilgrimage package price.

Financial Sponsorship

If a parish, ministry, family member, donor, or Catholic organization also wishes to help pay part of a pilgrim’s cost, that amount is treated as a separate sponsor contribution toward the pilgrim’s balance.

The Ministry Partnership Donation remains separate from that financial assistance.

Ministry Partner FAQ

Common questions.

Below are answers to some of the most common questions about becoming a Ministry Partner and sharing the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage.

FAQs
Does it cost anything to become a Ministry Partner?

No. There is no fee to become a Ministry Partner for the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage.

When is the $100 donation earned?

The $100 Ministry Partnership Donation is earned when the referred pilgrim completes the pilgrimage.

What if a referred pilgrim cancels?

If the referred pilgrim does not complete the pilgrimage, the Ministry Partnership Donation is not earned for that pilgrim.

Can a Ministry Partner also help pay for a pilgrim?

Yes. Financial sponsorship is separate from referral recognition. A Ministry Partner may refer a pilgrim, help pay part of a pilgrim’s cost, or both.

How are referrals tracked?

When a pilgrim requests information or submits a reservation review, the pilgrim may identify the parish, ministry, organization, or contact who invited them. BTDT may also issue partner-specific links or identifiers as the program develops.

Who receives the donation?

The donation is made to the participating Catholic parish, ministry, school, council, or approved Catholic organization associated with the referral, according to the information confirmed with BTDT.

Is this a sales commission?

No. The Ministry Partnership Donation is a ministry-focused expression of gratitude to participating Catholic organizations that help invite pilgrims to encounter Christ through pilgrimage.

What is the difference between an Outreach Partner and a Ministry Partner?

A Pilgrimage Outreach Partner helps share the Catholic Heartland Pilgrimage through bulletins, newsletters, Flocknote, websites, meetings, social media, flyers, QR codes, or personal invitation.

A Ministry Partner may also participate in the Ministry Partnership Donation Program, through which BTDT makes a $100 donation after a referred pilgrim completes the pilgrimage.

Can multiple ministries from the same parish participate?

Yes, when appropriate. BTDT will work with the parish or ministry leaders to clarify how referrals should be credited and reported.

Contact BTDT through the Partner With Us section and mention “Ministry Partner Information Packet” or “Pilgrimage Outreach Partner” in your message. BTDT will provide the current outreach materials, sharing links, and guidance for your parish, council, school, ministry, or Catholic organization.
